Finding a solution

Umbrellas are normally made of materials such as metal, plastic and wood and they can’t be recycled as they are. They’d need to be disassembled to be properly disposed of, which means that most of them just end up going to landfill…a big waste of resources. The polyester canopy, as an example, takes up to 100 years to biodegrade.

Reduce, reuse, recycle.

These are the three basic rules that a sustainable product must meet.
Ginkgo is 100% recyclable.
Thanks to the rationalization of the components and the use of a single technology, the production steps have been reduced by 80%, and the increased longevity leads to a further reduction of the production process.

Reusable parts

The ease of assembly and disassembly using snap-fit joints guarantees the possibility of reusing the still working components by replacing only the damaged ones.
